REVIEW BY JAN & GLEN

All the logistics ran smoothly. Sangdup takes care of permits to enter Dzongu and can arrange transport. Communication by email and phone was very efficient.
The homestay consists of three buildings around a sunny courtyard. One houses the simple, wood-lined bedrooms that are clean and comfortable. Close by are hot showers and Asian and Western style toilets, each in a separate cubicle. The third building contains the kitchen, dining area and fire hearth. Unless there are power interruptions, there is electricity available in the room 24/7.
The views from the homestay itself are stunning; paddy fields, vegetable gardens, natural forest and mountains, including the mighty Mt. Kanchenjunga.

The country can be steep but it's also possible to choose walks of different grades. Sangdup and family members are excellent guides, keen to share their culture and knowledge. We had many interesting conversations.
