I and 3 of my friends with our wives visited beautiful North
Sikkim in first week of may, 2017. We visited Gurudombar lake, Zero point,
yumthang vally then on the way back we planned our trip to a serene, unexplored
Lepcha village of North Sikkim, Dzongu. We stayed in Lingthem Lyang Homestay
run by Sangdup Lepcha. As this place is a Lepcha village, we needed prior
permission to go there. Sangdup arranged everything for us. This place has so
many things to offer: Beautiful view of Kanchenjunga, the lush green paddy
fields, Monastery(Men/women), beautiful lakes, water falls, Hotspring, hanging
bridge, green hills, and above all calmness of nature. Here you can feel the
beauty of nature.

The breathtaking view of Kanchenjunga mesmerized us. Ramden,
the Magic man of the homestay, helped us in adventures trips around the
mountains. We were mesmerized by the calmness of the monastery at the top of
the mountain. Then he guided us to the lake, beautiful river, hanging bridge,
hotspring. We took bath at the hotspring. It was a beautiful sightseeing guided
by Ramden. But, we missed the visit to the beautiful water falls due to lack of
time. We have to visit this place to explore this beautiful Lepcha village
again with more time.
The Queen of the kitchen, Mrs. Yanzay Lepcha fed us with all
kind of Lepcha cuisine. She is a lady who has smile always in her face.
The most important part about the homestay I wanna share is
that this homestay is at top of the hill, so the view of the Himalayan range
and paddy fields from this homestay is incomparable. So, request all of you to
come and explore this beautiful Lepcha village of North Sikkim and definitely
try to book Lingthem Lyang Homestay
